Wireless Charging Made Easy: How to Use Our Charger
Wireless charging is an easy and convenient way to keep your devices powered up, and our wireless charger at Ellie Rose is designed to make this process as smooth as possible. If you're new to wireless charging or just want to ensure you're doing it correctly, this guide is for you!
Wireless Charging Troubleshooting
1. Ensure Your Device is Wireless Charging Compatible
First things first: your phone or device needs to be compatible with wireless charging. For iPhones, this means models from the iPhone 8 and newer. For Samsung users, any model from the Galaxy S8 onwards should work. Generally, if your device is within 3-4 years old, it likely supports wireless charging. If you're unsure, a quick check of your device’s specifications online should confirm it.
2. Plug in the Wireless Charging Unit
Despite the term "wireless" the charging unit itself does need to be plugged into a power source. For the fastest charging experience, we recommend using a wall adapter with at least 18W output. This will ensure that your device charges as quickly and efficiently as possible.

3. Position Your Phone Correctly
To charge your phone, place it face up on the wireless charging pad. The key to successful charging is to align the center of the back of your phone with the center of the charging unit. For newer iPhones with larger cameras, you may notice that the camera rests on top of the charger. Don’t worry; as long as the center of your phone is aligned with the center of the charger, it will work. It might take a little bit of adjusting, so don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t connect immediately. Give it a second or two to make the connection before repositioning.

4. Check Your Phone Case
Most phone cases are compatible with wireless charging, but if your case is particularly thick or bulky, it might block the connection. Cases with grips, wallets, or any added accessories can also interfere with charging. If your phone doesn’t seem to be charging, try removing the case and see if that resolves the issue.
5. Look for the Charging Indicator
Once your phone is properly aligned on the charging pad, the phone should indicate that it’s charging. This may be a small lightning bolt symbol on the screen, a sound, or a vibration depending on your phone model. Remember, the charger itself does not have an indicator light, so keep an eye on your phone’s screen for confirmation. It may take a few seconds for the connection to establish, so be patient.
6. Reposition if Necessary
If your phone doesn’t start charging right away, you may need to reposition it slightly. Small adjustments can make a big difference in getting that perfect alignment, so move the phone around a bit until it starts charging. But wait a second or two in each new position so the phone has a chance to make a connection.
